Henk-Jan (1968) is a driven entrepreneur for whom his business always comes first.
However, in his dedication, he also loses himself. So focused on filling his days, he loses sight of what truly matters. Eventually, he crashes into an unyielding wall, leading to burnout and divorce.
Slowly, an old desire resurfaces, the longing to undertake a pilgrimage. When he and his business partners agree to take turns taking a three-month sabbatical, he seizes the opportunity and begins to shape his plans. In 2024, he turns his longing into action and embarks on the S:t Olavsleden. It marks the beginning of a remarkable story of an extraordinary person.
He hesitated about whether to publish his travel and experience journal. It was a deeply personal journey, and he realized it could touch others.
Yet, he believed everyone should have the opportunity to see the profound impact a pilgrimage, in his case, the S:t Olavsleden, can have on someone. This journey taught him so much, made him feel deeply, and gifted him countless moments of pure happiness. That deserves to be shared.
