Everything about your order

We are Ria Warmerdam from Op Vrije Voeten and Gea van Veen from Via Gaia, and we work together to create the cycling and hiking guides. Since the beginning of 2023 we have had a joint webshop where both cycling and hiking guides are sold. Since 2024, we also sell pilgrim items, pilgrim souvenirs and books. Via Gaia (me) takes care of the process of your order. If I'm not available, Ria or my husband takes it over, and otherwise there are two more people who can take over from us.   • The cycling guide and the hiking guide for the Gudbrandsdalsleden are in English and Dutch (Dutch: Het Olvaspad).
  • The hiking guide Valldalsleden is only in English
  • The hiking guide St:Olavsleden is in German and Dutch
  • All other guides are in Dutch

When there is sufficient demand, the other guide might be translated to English, Norwegian or German as well. If you are interested, please contact us.

Shipping within the EU (except NL):

  • orders up to €6.99: €3.95
  • orders from €7.00 up to 14.99: €5.95
  • orders from €15.00: €9.95

Shipping outside the EU (except US):

Shipping to the United States:

- We ship orders to the United States at the customer’s risk. While we do our best to ensure safe delivery, we cannot guarantee that all shipments will arrive or arrive undamaged. In the rare event that a package is lost in transit or arrives damaged, we are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or replacement.

Shipping within the Netherlands:

Orders to international destinations are shipped exclusively via PostNL.
Other shipping options, such as expedited delivery or courier services, are available upon request and are at the customer's own expense and risk.

We aim to dispatch orders within 24 hours on working days, but as Via Gaia is a one-person business, it may sometimes take an extra day. Arrival can take anywhere between one and four days in the Netherlands. Outside the Netherlands can take three to fourteen days.

Book stores, outdoor shops, bicycle shops, and other retailers can place an order through the contact form. Please provide the amount and other information as needed in the message part of the form. The order will be shipped as soon as possible (with a discount for retailers).

N.B. Only the cycling guides can be purchased from Via Gaia

Yes, you can return your order*. If the order hasn’t been shipped yet, you can cancel your order. Contact us as soon as possible through the contact form, or ring the phone number on the contact form. The money will be returned to your account number within 14 days. If the order has been shipped, you can return it within 14 days. The guide has to be in its original condition, and you need to pay for the shipment yourself. After the return shipment has been received, the purchase amount for the guide will be returned to your account number within 14 days.

Tip: keep your shipping receipt. If something goes wrong, your shipment can be retraced with that information.
