Good news for American pilgrims! Guides, books and pilgrims passports can once again be sent from the Netherlands to the United States via the regular postal service (PostNL).

It had been possible for a short while, but we wanted to be absolutely sure first that the order would arrive, and what the costs would be. We recently sent the first order to the US, and it has now arrived.

Fortunately, there are no import duties to pay on guides, pilgrim passports and books, so the extra costs aren’t too bad. However, in addition to the postage costs, there are also administration fees to pay. Part of this goes to PostNL (the amount varies) and a little part goes to me, as orders to the US involve more work: a form with codes needs to be filled in, and I have to go to a staffed post office to drop off the parcel.

So, the price for shipping to the US is now:

- orders up to €70.00: €19.95
- orders from €70.00: €29.95

Please note that international shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs fees. Any such charges are determined by the destination country and must be paid by the recipient.

There are also some ‘terms and conditions’:

  • We ship orders to the United States at the customer’s risk. While we do our best to ensure safe delivery, we cannot guarantee that all shipments will arrive or arrive undamaged. In the rare event that a package is lost in transit or arrives damaged, we are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or replacement.
