De Gudbrandsdalsleden and Short routes in Norway are now available in the Route-App from the Dutch Fietsvakantiewinkel! Also in English! For the price of a cappuccino, getting lost is impossible. Well, unless your telephone refuses service, but then fortunately there is still a paper guide.

There are two routes by Via Gaia available in the Route-app of the Fietsvakantiewinkel:

1. Het Olavspad / Gudbrandsdalsleden
2. Korte routes in Noorwegen / Short route in Norway

The Fietsvakantiewinkel is a Dutch shop for everything you need for your cycling holiday. And they have a great app for (offline) navigation! The app itself is free, but you buy the routes individually for the price of a cappuccino.

Important: the routes in the app are an addition and do not replace the guidebook*. There are many references to the guidebook, so you do need it for useful (background) information and directions. So why the app? Mainly for navigating because that is made very easy. The app is more user-friendly than other navigation apps. Accommodations, supermarkets, bike shops and places of interest can be found effortlessly. You can also add your own photos, give feedback and tips. Or read tips from other cyclists... And the app is basically completely up-to-date. All changes and additions are processed the same day in most cases.

* The guide in the case is the English-language guide 'Gudbrandsdalsleden'. The app itself is in Dutch, but the texts accompanying the route are in both Dutch and English. The app is also usable with the Dutch-language guide, even if the reference to page numbers is not correct. The big advantage is that all changes and updates to the route are in the app.
