Fika
Fika is a major cultural phenomenon in Sweden. The term stands for coffee with something sweet to go with it, such as cinnamon rolls (kanelbullar), biscuits or pastries, but actually it is much more than just a coffee break. It is seen as an important ritual to unwind and relax with others. It is an essential part of Swedish culture and contributes to work-life balance.

Hembygdsgård
A hembygdsgård is a Swedish term for a hamlet association, often housed in a historic farmhouse (gård) and maintained by volunteers from the area. Many villages have such a small but fine museum association that collects and manages local heritage. Hembygdsgårdar are used for various celebrations such as midsummer, Christmas and weddings. Anyway, many activities take place during summer. For cyclists, these are ideal break spots. Not only are they beautiful spots full of cultural goods, fika is often served in summer. That phenomenon is called summer café. By the way, you can find such a seasonal café in other places too. There are hembygdsgårdar where you can pitch your tent for a night.
